A Brief History of the Calder District

The Calder District represents groups in the north-western metropolitan Melbourne and local country groups. The District is bordered by Sydney Road/Hume Highway and the Maribyrnong River/ Calder Freeway. Moonee Valley Festival

For the past 6 years the District has been invited by the Moonee Valley Festival to host an Alcoholics Anonymous stall. The festival is held each year in January. AA members are at the stall to give away literature and to advice on attending AA to interested members of the public. This is a public demonstration that AA is a legitimate health service to the local community.
